Melanie Blank replied to Sharon O'Neill's discussion Developing online help in Unix
"Sharon, Like Arnold, I was thinking of JavaHelp, too.  It was considered for one of the software products in my last contract job. The application was developed in Java. Some users of the client used PCs; others used UNIX machines.  Not…"

Melanie Blank replied to Thomas Mauser's discussion Estimating a Writing Project
"Tom - this is a question I have struggled with, and obviously I'm not alone.  Mark brings up some excellent points - I always benefit from his comments.  I'm also thinking of online help projects, where the "per page"…"

Melanie Blank replied to Sanjay G's discussion Convincing a developer
"Hareem, You are right that the right attitude about documentation (and not only in this regard) should come from top management. My only difference of opinion with you is that maybe it's a better idea (and more politically correct?) to speak…"

Melanie Blank replied to Karen Mardahl's discussion Contractions and tone

I live and work near Shanghai,  which is in the eastern part of China. I find there are so few TWs from China here at TWW. Anyway I am very glad to meet you at TWW. I am still young both physically and in the sense of career development. Any advice from you is much appreciated!

Simon
